why ec theory differ from real life?

Life is full of ups and downs just like what we learned in economics, there are economic boom and economic recession. there are many fluctuation.

But in economics, with all these fluctuation, there will still be economic growth in the long run with the increased GDP over the years shown in the first graph.

But....

How about life?

it seems to differ from my life theory.

Are we happier compared to the past- the 3-5yrs old child?

So i decide to use this paint function call "flip", to flip the graph horizontally and obtained the second graph.

PS. the fluctuation shouldnt be that BIG, just that my drawing on the laptop made it hard for me to draw a better one.
